A multinational assault and reconnaissance unit on Ukraine's front lines since March 2022. From the defense of Kyiv to the Battle of Bakhmut, we go where the fight is hardest.
Team Jedi is a multinational assault and reconnaissance unit within Ukraine's 3rd Special Purpose Battalion of the International Legion. Led by British Army veteran Stuart "Solo" Burnside, our team consists of experienced volunteers from the UK, US, France, Colombia, and beyond.
Formed in December 2023, Team Jedi has become known for professionalism, adaptability, and courage under fire. Our members have served in some of the war's harshest frontlines.
"Disciplinae, honos, reverentia et gloria"
(Discipline, honor, respect, and glory)
Stuart "Solo" Burnside is the founder and commander of Team Jedi. A British Army veteran from Yorkshire, he ran a successful business before giving it all up — house, cars, everything — to fight for Ukraine.
He arrived on March 6, 2022, planning to stay "a few weeks." Nearly three years later, he's still on the front lines. He's applied for Ukrainian citizenship and plans to stay after the war to help with demining.
"The men would do anything for me because I'd do anything for them."
"It might be the last time you go out, but you still go out there."
"Solo is among the legionnaires who stayed when many others had gone home, committed to stay the course in Ukraine's fight." — The Independent, September 2023

"If Russia takes Ukraine, they would control a vast portion of the world's food industry and could hold the planet to ransom. Ukraine is a stepping stone into Europe."
